Holme Grove Goldcard Does it again !

Hi All,

Well the 10th anniversary of the Dressage to Music Festival is over and Goldcard did it again winning the Adult Elementary Freestyle to Music with 74.56 at THS last Saturday. It was judged by Jenny Loristen-Clark as Sue told you in our last e-mail along with one of our local senior judges. I attach pics of his test (GCAE1 & 2). Getting awarded his sash with Maud, Jenny L-C and Stanley, Goldcards very proud groom (GCLC). Goldcard on his lap of honour going like the clappers and enjoying every minute of it!!! (GCLO)

Pictures were taken by Hennie van den Berg. If you would like to use them on the web please do but please acknowledge Hennie for copyright purposes.

Coming to UK end of June. Hope to be there for your open day.

Regards as always.

John, Sue, Helen and Goldcard

Hi All,

Pics in jpeg as requested. Just to let you know Goldcard got 8ís for his medium walk, extended walk, working trot, shoulder ins, simple change of leg and counter canter. Maude also had a lesson with Jenny last Tuesday. It was amazing to see what Jenny got out of Goldcard in one 40 minute session. Imagine what could be achieved in RSA if we could only have more consistent access to such talented trainers!!! They worked on basic transitions and also took him up a couple of levels from his current elementary status to do flying changes which were quite good even if we are biased!!! Then they worked on the basics of trot and canter half passes and canter pirouettes. Great experience all round.

See you at the open day.

Dear Susan

I see you already have the great news about Goldcard. I was hoping to write sooner but being on the organising committee of this event has taken up so much of my time. I am pleased to tell you that Goldcard was phenominal and by far my favourite in the line-up. I finally managed to get to 'meet' him! As Maud was taking him into the warmup I asked if I could say hello and he really is even more spectacular up close. He was a perfect gentleman in the lineup and didn't object to having his rosette pinned to his bridle or having the sash draped over his neck. Maud and him did a lovely lap of honour and they were one of the few that showed true exuberance in their lap, it was lovely to see. I managed to speak to Jennie Loristan-Clarke after the class and she commented that he was a lovely horse and that she knew you and your stud. If I happen to come by any other photos I'll be sure to pass them on to you.

On another note, congratulations to David and Julia on the arrival of baby Ella.

Well that's all from SA for the moment.
