Thank you so much for your lovely email. It is so rewarding as a breeder to know that our ‘babies’ are in good hands and being loved and enjoyed by their owners.
He is one of the first crop from Legend so it is great to know he is proving to be so talented and trainable!
Lots of love

Well its been a while and I thought you may like to know how HP Sauvignon is getting on. He is nearly 5 now and is a very tall and elegant steed! He stands at about 17h and certainly knows he is handsome.
We have got to know one another over the past 4 and half years and I can safely say, he is my friend. With never a cross word between us. He takes everything in his stride and will turn a hoof to whatever I throw at him.
These photos were taken at our very first jump cross outing. He flew round the course without hesitation tackling ditches, skinnys and water.
I hope to progress to xc in the next few months with maybe getting a day ticket towards the end of season for a BE90. I take it easy with him as he is a big lad and I want him to last for life, I'm in no rush to get there quickly.
Thanks again for breeding such a wonderful creature. I just wish everybody could know him as they would all love him!!

Dear Susan and Paul,
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all at Holme Trakehners.
Sauvignon is a true star and is getting bigger by the minute (he certainly loves his food!). I think he is a little put out having to spend the last few days in because of the snow but he is so easy to handle that he is a pleasure to own. He is a very loving little chap and loves cuddles and kisses! I will send some pictures in the new year for you to see, he is a massive fluff ball at the moment!
Have a lovely Christmas and looking forward to hearing from you soon.
All the best,
Nici and Sauvignon xxxx
E-mail update 13th October 2009
Hi Susan, just a quick update.
Sauvignon has certainly got his feet under the table! He is a little star. Took him into the ménage and did some in hand work, the beginnings of Parelli, he is certainly a quick learner. We did some coloured poles on the ground and he bravely stepped over them!!! He loves Ollie and vice versa, they lead out together to the field every morning.
Hope you are all well and hope pups are doing well. Send my luv to Jess.
Speak again soon,
